When I was a kid, everyone thought Magic didn't have long, which now feels strange since he is still alive making millions of dollars just TALKING about basketball. People who are seriously ill continue to be seriously ill unless they have millions of dollars to "beat" their disease.... What kind of country.....?

We ask all of our current friends and fans to connect the way that we originally set Electric Mayhem off... by word of mouth. Please take the time occasionally to verbally or digitaly remind someone that they can get a fix for that dancing jones each and every Wednesday night right in the goodness of The Triple Crown.

THE STORY THUS FAR

Presented by The Word Association and The Triple Crown, Electric Mayhem is more than a DJ night... it is an educational, entertaining and emotional musical sensory overload. Top 40 is mostly avoided (unless integrated VERY creatively)... Classics of all genres and obscure/underground music is embraced.

After nearly a decade, Electric Mayhem stands as one of the longest running hip-hop weekly events in Texas. The current lineup consists of DJs Chief and sPYhOP, both influential members of the San Marcos creative scene.

Electric Mayhem began as a replacement night for the first .::liquidstereoproject appearance at Lucy's on the Square (San Marcos). What was a spur of the moment idea became a San Marcos phenomenon, running every Wednesday for nearly 8 years at Lucy's.

Lucy's moved on to become Bar 141, and Electric Mayhem moved on to The Triple Crown, where they continue to perform every Wednesday night.

Hipster Vision, UFL style

My friends The Unibrawdz invited me out to Tantra Coffee House last night to celebrate The Hot Dogs beating of The Unicychos for The Stupor Bowl championship. I decided that it would be foolish to ignore inspiration, and thus "Hipster Vision" was born... the first in a serious of hip-hop style mixes done with very little hip-hop. I will have copies of it available in the very near future...

Last night was another notch in the belt of legend for Electric Mayhem... we just turned the midnight corner, and sPYhOP was mid mix-takeover when BOOM!.. and then everything was black... could it be that Electric Mayhem sent a surge through the wires that blew up one of San Marcos' power transformers?

So, now that this bad boy is up and running, we can get back to the business at hand... making mixtapes. There are plans for recording studio mixes in the very near future, and live mixes are currently available... we can talk price when the time comes. Get at us, and we can get that goodness to you.
